Ionia Sentinel - 25 March 1962
Mary Edith Presley, 82, of 716 West Washington street, a resident of Ionia 58 
years, died Sunday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital following an 
illness of 11 days.  A retired bookkeeper, Miss Presley had formerly worked for 
Citizens Telephone company and Stevensons department store of Ionia.

She was born in Mason, August 4, 1879, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 
Presley and came to Ionia from Greenville 58 years ago.  For many years she 
resided with her sister, Helen, and Margaret Spaulding at their Washington 
street home.  Miss Presley was a member of SS Peter and Paul church and Rosary 
society.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Presley, a foster daughter, Mrs. Esther 
McFarlane of Lansing three nieces, Mrs. Glenn Piper of ionia, Mrs. Harry Durling 
of Vernon, and Mrs. Milton Moslet of Grandville; and a nephew, Keith 
Gildemeister of Tacoma, Wash.

Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:30 at Myers funeral home.  Funeral 
mass will be at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning at SS Peter and Paul church with 
burial at Greenville Cemetery.
