 Excerpts from Dundee,MI Obituary

   Rev. William J. Prestidge

Died June 27, 1956 at his home in Deerfield,MI-age 89 where he had been ill for 
two years.
Born April 3, 1968, at North Hamptonshire, England, the son of Mr.& Mrs. Henry 
Prestidge.
Rev. Prestidge came to Michigan with is parents settled on a farm near Sturgis.
Attended Albion College.
in 1894 he married Minnie L.Russell & she died in 1930.
He married Marian Russlin in December 1932.
He was a member of Knights of Pythias & Masonic Lodges.
A Congregational minister, Rev. Prestidge served in churches in Madison, Athens, 
Lake Odessa & Dundee.
He served in Dundee Congregational church from 1914 to 1921.
Also served at Peoples Presbyterian Church, Milan & Deerfield Presbyterian 
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marian; daughter, Mrs.Frank Wilson of Dundee; brother, 
George Prestidge of Sturgis; sister Mrs.Anna Labadie of South Bend,Ind; four 
grandchildren & six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a sister Mary & brother, Henry.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Deerfield Presbyterian Church.
Rev. O.E.Priest, assisted by the Rev.L.Paul Harris, will officiate 
Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery.
The body is in Valentine & McNeil Funeral Home here.
Bearers will be Carl Dyke, Dale Howell, Ezra Daniel, J.O. Frayer, Ernie 
Nithswander & Calvin Zilkey.
