Mrs. Lena Preston, 39, of Lyons died at 7:15 am Friday at the St. Lawrence 
hospital in Lansing after a long illness.

She was born August 23, 1918 at Coleman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
Hook.  She had lived in Lyons 17 years.

Mrs. Preston is survived by a son, Roger, at home; her mother, Mrs. John 
Baker, Sterling; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence Prebble and Mrs. Floyd Prebble 
of Lyons and Mrs. Buryl Stanbaugh of Lansing; four step-sisters, Mrs. Lena 
Bergeron and Mrs. Esther Knight of Sterling, and Mrs. Wilma Siegrist and Mrs. 
Mildred Seder of Saginaw.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at the Lyons Methodist 
church.  The Rev. Mr. Miller, pastor of the Latter Day Saints church of 
Lansing, and the Rev. Richard Kidder, pastor of the Lyons Methodist church, 
will officiate.  Interment is to be in the Deepdale Cemetery, Lansing.
