The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 15, 1947
News has been received in Ionia of the death of a former resident, Mrs. Floyd 
Prescott, 31, of Albuquerque, N.M., Friday morning at 6 o’clock at a 
hospital.  Although she had been in poor health for the past two years, she 
had only been hospitalized for six months.

The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Mulford of Lansing, 
formerly of Ionia.  She attended Ionia high school.  Her husband is of Muir.  
Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Prescott and their son moved to New Mexico.

Surviving her besides the husband is one son, Dennis, her parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Jesse Mulford of Lansing; six sisters, Mrs. Clayton Selleck, Mrs. Howard 
Zimmerman, Mrs. Kenneth Ries and Mrs. Clarence Miller of Albuquerque, N.M., 
and Mrs. Lewis Hammond and Mrs. Donald Price of Lansing, and four brothers, 
Maynard, Charles and Paul of Lansing, and Jesse, Jr., of Grand Ledge.

Prayer services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o’clock at 106 West 
Willow street, Lansing.  Funeral services will be conducted from the Stone 
funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock with interment in North Plains 
cemetery.
