Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Dec. 30, 1964


LAKE ODESSA- Mrs. Sarah K. Preston, 84, of 839 Fourth Avenue, died at 9 O’clock 
Tuesday  night at Pennock hospital, Hastings, where she had been a patient four 
days.

She was born September 22, 1880 in Ontario and came to the United States at the 
age of three years with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Keller. She had 
lived in Clarksville area most of her life until a few years ago.

June 29, 1907, she married Cecil Preston who died March 8, 1963.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Jackson of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. 
Arthur Allen of Nunica; one brother, John Keller of Grand Rapids; a half-
sister, Mrs. Harvey Lester of Port Huron; a stepbrother, Allen Eby of Elkton; 
seven grand and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at Pickens funeral chapel Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with 
the Rev. Roy Houghton officiating and interment at Clarksville Cemetery.
