Franklin “Frank” H. Preston, 59, of Belding, passed away Saturday morning, 
February 17, 2007 at the Butterworth Campus of Spectrum Health in Grand 
Rapids.  Frank was born on January 27, 1948 in Grand Rapids, the only son of 
Howard and Glenna Carigon Preston.  Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and 
spending time with family.  He had a good sense of humor and will be forever 
missed by his family and friends.

He was married on May 1, 1971 in Orleans to Carol Gallup and she survives 
along with their children; Tony and Tom Mitchell, Rod Preston, Sandy and Mike 
Devries and Kim and Matt Putney, all of Belding.  Frank is also survived by 
his grandchildren; Glenna, TJ, Haley, Darin, Mattsen and Zac, his brothers in 
law and sisters in law; Mike and Sheri Gallup of Florida, Sonja and Jerry 
Vergusen of Portland, Philip Gallup of Greenville, Marci and Chuck Minier of 
Orleans, several nieces and nephews, two special cousins; Colleen Krick of 
Orleans, Harold “Mike” Knouse of Stanton and special friends; Dave and Bonnie 
Pierson.  Frank was preceded by his parents and his father and mother in law; 
Manley and Winnie Gallup.

Funeral and committal services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday from Johnson-Feuerstein 
Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Kendall Harger of Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.  Private interment will follow in Orleans Township Cemetery.  
Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Memorial contributions may be 
given to the Orleans Township Fire Department or Freedom Acres.
