Archie Preston, 65, of 516 Harrison street, Ionia, died suddenly at his home at 
4 p.m. Thursday.

He was born February 1, 1883, the son of Howard C. and Ella Preston, in Ionia 
county, where he lived his entire life. He was a painter by trade and also 
worked at the Hayes plant for several years.

He is survived by two sisters, Miss. Frankie Preston, with whom he stayed, and 
Mrs. Sadie Petersen of Ionia: two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at the Boynton funeral home Sunday, May 30, at 
2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Howard Johnson officiating. Interment will be in 
Highland Park cemetery.
