Daily Sentinel - Wednesday, July 19, 1916

Howard C. Preston, aged 63 years died this morning at 7 o'clock at his home on 
West Main street after a long illness. Besides the wife, he leaves three 
children, Mrs. Snoops of Fenwick, Frankie and Archie Preston who live at home, 
two brothers, Hal Preston of Vicksburg and Harley Preston of Detroit and a 
sister, Mrs. Bert Cornell. The funeral will be held Friday at _:30 at the home 
and at _ o'clock at the Church of Christ. Rev. R. B. Chapman officiating. 
Interment will be in Highland Park.
