Mr. J.W. Price, died Saturday, of tuberculosis, at the county farm, near Saint Johns. The funeral was held in St. Johns, Monday, and the remains brought to the East Plains Cemetery, for burial. Mr. Price was about 75 years of age, and a resident of our village, until three weeks ago, when he went to the county farm, near St. Johns for care. He had sufficient means to care for himself, but was unfortunate enough to be alone, and unable to hire anyone to care for him, on account of the nature of his disease. During the five years that he has resided here, he has bought land and built or reconstructed five houses, that add much to the appearance of our village, winning in the meantime the respect and esteem of all who knew him. He was the father of three daughters, who died in their youth. He was a member of the Masonic order, at Maple Rapids, for about forty years.
