Price, died of membraneous croup. Mary was eight years old the 13th of last August, and was a member of the third grade in the Central School. She was an unusually bright little girl and endeared herself to her schoolmates by winning ways, and thoughtful deeds. None (unreadable) her in scholarship and the unfinished work, left in her desk, is a pathetic reminder of her careful, conscientious work. The morning talk at chapel, of the day she passed away, was upon the life and character of the little school friend who would be with us no more, and a seriousness and hush rested upon the children and remained throughout the day; for they realized that “even a child is known by his doings whether his work be pure and whether it be right.” The home is filled with sorrow and longing for the presence of the happy hearted child so lately its joy and light.
