All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Nan Wheaton wheaton1624@yahoo.com August 11, 2019, 12:25 pm Ionia County News - Thursday, Dec. 8, 1949 WIFE OF BELDING DOCTOR DIES AS RESULT OF CRASH Auto Skids on Icy Pavement; Husband Slightly Injured Mrs. Earl Price, 55, wife of a well known Belding doctor, died early last Saturday morning at Belding City Hospital of injuries she suffered Thursday night when the car which her husband was driving skidded on icy pavement near Silver Lake on M-44 and crashed into a tree. Death was the result of internal injuries. Dr. Earl Price suffered minor cuts and bruises, and was released from the hospital after treatment. The former Violet Culbertson, Mrs. Price was born Jan. 11, 1894, at Baltimore, Md., and had lived in Belding for the past 27 years. She was married to Dr. Price in January of 1919. Mrs. Price was a member of the Goodfellowship Club and the Methodist Church of El Paso, Ill., and a past officer of the Ladies Literary Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Winston Setchfield, of Belding, and Jeanne, at home; two sons, William of Belding and Robert, a Stanton attorney; two sisters, Mrs. Julian Givins of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Teaneck, N. J., and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Methodist Church, with burial in River Ridge Cemetery.
