December 4, 2021 KENNETH PRIDDY Kenneth Priddy, age 92, of Nashville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at Carveth Village in Middleville. Kenneth was born in Dimondale, on March 12, 1929, a son o the late Mina (Ferrill) and Lawrence Priddy. Kenneth was the youngest of 10 siblings and was the last surviving of the 10. He was raised the Dimondale area and attended local schools, until his fathers passing. He then quit school to take care of the farm. He was the widower of Dorothy Mae (Curtis) Priddy. Ken and Dorothy were married on Dorothy's birthday, May 14, 1948 at her parents home in Vermontville. Ken and Dorothy were introduced by her father, when he asked if Ken would pick up his girls so they could attend youth services at the Kilpatrick Church. Ken and Dorothy spent the majority of their lives in the Vermontville area where they raised their family together.They had celebrated over 69 years of marriage when Dorothy passed away in 2017. After is father passed away. Ken worked the family farm for several years, also worked for other local farmers int eh area.Ken spent them majority of his working career as a heavy equipment operator, for Dorothy's father. Ken was well known throughout the surrounding counties for expertise and quality workmanship. Ken retired in 1996, but kept himself busy, working on the Gardner Farm in Vermontville, before he and Dorothy moved to Hastings. Ken loved sending time with his family. During the summer months, the family would head to Northern Michigan for camping trips and time together. After retiring Ken and Dorothy enjoyed traveling to several different states and spending a few weeks in Florida each year. Ken is survived by his daughter, Jane (Mike) Pierce-Norris; son, Steven (Sandy) Priddy; grandchildren, Gave (Joy) Priddy, Kristi (Brian) Lincoln and seven great-grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy and his son-in-law, Roger Pierce. A memorial service will be held at the Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville. at 11 am, Monday Dec.6,2021 with Pastor Gabe Priddy officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021 at the Daniels Funeral Home in Nashville. Interment will take place privately at Woodland Memorial Park Woodland. Memorial contributions can be made to youth Haven Ranch, PO Box 97, Rives Junction,MI 49277.
