R. A. Rook will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery. The body will repose at the Bradley funeral home until Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock when it will be taken to the church to repose until time for services. The casket will be closed at 3 o'clock. Mr. Priehs was born September 13, 1866, in Germany and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Helmutt Priehs. In 1889, he was married in Germany to Minnie Marung and the couple came to the United states soon after. The couple resided in Detroit a number of years before moving to Ionia about 48 years ago. Mr. Priehs was employed as a tool car worker in the Pere Marquette car shops. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Surviving are his widow, Minnie; one son, Fred Priehs, personnel manager of the Stuart Warner corporation at Park Ridge; three grandchildren, Ione, Wayne and Willis, all of Park Ridge. Pallbearers will be Leonard Holtz, Wesley Turk, Emil Hahn, William Pinnow, Peter Diehm and Martin Succup. June 12, 1944 Funeral rites for Herman Priehs, 77, 631 Rich street, were held Sunday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. R. A. Rook was officiating minister and burial was in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Succup, Emil Hahn, Wesley Turk, William Pinnow, Leonard Hulse and Peter Diehm. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Peter Kiehm, Mrs. Wesley Turk and Mrs. William Pinnow.
