Ruth Marilyn Pritchett died Thursday morning, May 23, 2013 at The Eagle's Nest 
in Eagle, MI. She was born April 11, 1932 in Grand Rapids, MI to Andrew and 
Hazel (Jacobs) Messer. She was their only daughter and the youngest of 5 
children. Ruth was a loving mother of 5 children. She loved being outdoors and 
was an avid gardener and bird watcher.

Surviving her are: two brothers: Paul Messer and James Messer, both in the 
Grand Rapids area: three daughters and a son: Pennie (Lyle) Phares of Ligonier, 
IN, Dennis TenEyck of Vermontville, Connie Lowe of Lyons, Andra (Carl) Bauer of 
Portland: 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a great-great 
grandson. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Pritchett, a son Terry, her 
parents and two brothers.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at 
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, MI with Keith Neller officiating.

Arrangements are with Lehman funeral Home in Portland.
