Harry O. Probasco, 78, died at noon Wednesday at Butterworth Hospital in Grand 
Rapids after a long illness.  He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob O. Probasco 
and lived many years in Muir and was a graduate of University of Michigan.  He 
operated a lumber business in Muir and in Los Angeles.  He was employed for 
several years in the bond department of Michigan Trust Company in Grand Rapids.

Surviving are his wife, Gabrielle; one sister, Mrs. Delia Stoddard of Muir; one 
step-daughter, Mrs. Margaret Jones of Tucson, Arizona; and one step-son, Major 
William L. Clarke in Korea.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 10:30 at Metcalfe funeral 
home in Grand Rapids with Dr. Donald V. Carey of Grace Episcopal church 
officiating.  Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery in Muir at about 11:45.
