Portland Observer, 31 Jul 1895

Ephraim Probasco died at his home in this village on the west side, on Friday 
morning last, after a protracted illness in which he had steadily failed in 
strength, aged 65 years.

Mr. Probasco had been a resident of Portland and Sebewa for many years, at one 
time several years ago, he having been engaged in the hotel business in this 
village.  After that he moved to his farm in Sebewa, removing again to the 
village a couple of years since.

The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon last from his late 
residence, and burial made under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity, of 
which he had been a member for some years.
