The Portland Observer, Wednesday, November 5, 1902
Mrs. Eugene Probasco died of diphtheria at her home in Sebewa last Saturday 
afternoon and was buried in Weippert cemetery Saturday night.  The whole 
family had been afflicted with the disease, but that of Mrs. Probasco was the 
only death amongst them.  The disease was brought into the family from the 
west by a son.
