Proctor, 70, of Carson City, died Monday in Lansing. He was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Gratiot County, the son of Howard and Anna McGraw Proctor. A 1935 graduate of Carson City High School, he was married to Marjory Owen in 1938. He was a farmer, and a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a Master Mason and a past master of the Hubbardston Tuscan Lodge 178 and the American Legion Post 182 of Hubbardston. Surviving are his wife, Marjory; two daughters, Sharon Burns of Boston, Mass., and Shirleyan Hill of Armada; three sons, James of Carson City, Jon of Carson City, and Gerald of Elsie; 11 grandchildren; one sister Jean Blackmer of Hubbardston; and two brothers, Robert of Akron and Merton of Carson City. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City, the Rev. Ray Grienke officiating. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery in Hubbardston. Masonic services will be held today at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson City Site Development Fund and the American Lung Association. The family will be at the funeral home after 4 p.m. on Wednesday and until funeral service time on Thursday.
