Ionia Daily Sentinel, 8 Apr 1916

John M. Proctor, a veteran of the civil war, died at Portland Friday at the age
of 86.  He came two years ago from Cheboygan.  Burial was Sunday.

[Transcriber’s note:  There are notations on the obituary card that he was born
January 27, 1838, and that he was buried in Portland Cemetery.]
