Proctor, 84, of Carson City, passed away Friday, September 10, 2004 at Metron of Greenville. Marjory was born June 4, 1920 in Carson City, the daughter of Ray B. and Shirley Densmore Owen. She was a 1938 graduated of Ionia High School and that same year on April 8 she married Harold Proctor. Marjory lived most of her life in the Carson City area on the family farm and worked as a bookkeeper for the Bud Martin International Dealership. She also worked for the Hubbardston Post Office and was a census taker. Marjory had been a member of Hubbardston United Methodist Church, where she played the organ for 20 years. She was a member of Carson City Untied Methodist Church and had been a member of the WSCS at the church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Carson City and was a member and past president of the Ionia County Rock and Mineral Society. Marjory was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Proctor in 1986; and sister, Dorothy Beaver. She is survived by five children, James and Donna Proctor of Carson City, Shirleyan and Robert Hill of Amanda, Sharon and Louise Burns of Carson City, Jarold Bruce and Peggy Proctor of Elsie, Jon Dana and Helen Proctor of Carson City; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Eckert of Florida. Funeral services were 11 a.m. today at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City, with the Rev. Jack Gladding of Carson City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Westside Cemetery, Hubbardston. Memorial contributions may be made to Carson City United Methodist Church or Westside Cemetery Association.
