Proctor, of rural Ionia, who died last Saturday at her residence, were held today at 1 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leo Kostizen of St. Johns Lutheran Church officiating. Organist was Mrs. Josephine Barna. Burial was in Palo Cemetery. Pall bearers were Bob Cooper, Donald Griffith, Bob Nelson, Jack Wilson, Keith Wilbur, and Larry Recca. Mrs. Proctor was born in Garden, Mi., on Oct. 13, 1911, the daughter of Alton and Phoebe (Squires) Olmsted. She attended elementary schools in Garden and moved to Munising where she attended high school. She moved back to Detroit and was married to William Proctor in 1938. They retired to the Ionia area in 1972, making their home on Charles Road in rural Ionia. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1973. Survivors include two brothers, Francis and Clyde Olmsted, both of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Hulen (Sarah) Wheatley of Ionia and Mrs. Shirley Recca of Livonia. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ionia. The Sentinel regrets the delay in publishing this obituary.
