Peggy Jane Puehler, 75, of Grand Rapids passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at
her home.  Peggy was born on Sept. 16, 1930, in Belding, the daughter of George
and Gladys Cook Skellenger.

Peggy was proud of her parents owning Skellenger Drugs in downtown Belding many
years ago.  She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1947. 
Peggy had lived in Grand Rapids since 1995.  She had a great love of animals.

She was preceded by her parents and one sister, Donna Stuhan.  Peggy is survived
by her children, Cindy Geiger of Ionia, Jeff and Kathy Puehler of Greenville and
Chris Puehler of Belding; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren;
brother, David Skellenger of Bardstown, Ky.; sister and brother-in-law Marge and
Bernard Schulz of Ravenna.

In keeping with her wishes no visitation or service will take place.  Private
interment will be in Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore.  Memorial contributions may be
given to MacKenzie’s Animal Shelter 9665 Thompson Road Lake Odessa, Mich. 48849.
 Care and service were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
