The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, February 24, 1940

Mrs. Nancy Puffer, 83, died at her home at Sebewa Corners Wednesday evening 
where she had resided for more than thirty years.  She had been ill three 
years with heart trouble.  Surviving are one son, Clare Murphy, who is 
connected with the Bay City schools; one sister, Mrs. Alice Stringham, of 
Lansing and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Puffer was a member of the Sebewa Corners Methodist church, the Ladies 
Aid society, the Sebewa Rebekah lodge and the Past Noble Grand club.  She was 
also a member of the Sunfield O.E.S.

Services were held Saturday at the Methodist church and were conducted by the 
pastor, Rev. Harry Buchanan, and a former pastor, Rev. Thompson, of Woodland.  
Burial was at East Sebewa beside her husband who has been dead more than 
thirty years.
