Ionia County News, 16 Sep 1965

Retired Fisher Body employee George A. Pung died Monday night at St. Lawrence
hospital, Lansing.  Mr. Pung lived at 973 Maynard Road.  He is survived by his wife,
Lorena; five daughters, Mrs. Geneivive Droste, Westphalia, Mrs. May Simmons and Mrs.
Colleen Hayden, both of Ionia and Ann and Catherine M. at home.  Also surviving are
five sons, Charles of Ionia, George Jr., Donald H., Ernest R. and Herman all of
Portland.  One step son, Richard Forebeck, Portland; 11 grandchildren; one sister,
Mrs. Catherine Carpenter, Ionia and four brothers, Ernest, Albert and Herman of
Portland, and Richard of Eagle.

The rosary was said at the Neller funeral home Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. and
services held at St. Patrick’s church at 9:30 Thursday morning.  Burial will be in
Portland cemetery.
