Portland Review - Mon. Jan. 27, 1997


He was born in Portland, the son of Leon P. and Pauline A. (Cross) Pung. Mr. 
Pung was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Portland and The Knights 
of Columbus Portland Council #2168, 4th Degree.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; three sons, Michael L. of Lansing, Douglas 
(Laura) of Portland, and Jeffrey (Susan) of Mason; two grandchildren; father, 
Leon of Portland; six brothers, Thomas (Rosemary), Robert (Bernadine), and Leon 
Jr. (Dorothy), all of Portland and Richard of Sunfield, John (Kathy) of 
Charlotte and Kenneth (Carrie) of Leslie; and two sisters, Ann (Gerald) 
Kloeckner of Eagle and Joan (Anthony) Bradecky of Fredericksburg, Va.

Funeral mass was celebrated Jan. 20 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with Rev. 
Troy Nevins officiating. Rite of Committal was held at Portland Cemetery.
