Ionia County Shoppers Guide, 20 Aug 2005

Richard “Butch” A. Pung, age 65, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2005.  
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judith “Judy” Pung; mother, Helen Pung; 
mother-in-law, Magdalene Strong; 7 sons: David (Maureen) Pung, Mark (Dianna) 
Pung, Philip (Karen) Pung, John (Debby) Pung, Paul Pung, Michael (Pam) Pung, 
and Jeffrey (Melissa) Pung; 12 grandchildren: Linda Kay, Rachel, Rhonda, 
Ashley, Matthew, Erica, Lindsey, Victoria, Nicole, Cassie, Gavin, and Jameson; 
great grandson, Nathaniel Pianosi; brothers: Roger Pung, Peter (Connie) Pung 
and Dennis Pung; sisters: Pauline (Donald) Schafer, Mary “Theresa” (Michael) 
Gross and Helen (LaVern) Carr; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral 
services were held Thursday, August 18 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 
Portland.  Rite of Committal followed at North Eagle Cemetery.  Arrangements by 
the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.  For those 
desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. Flohe foundation, in 
memory of Mr. Richard A. “Butch” Pung.
