PUNG Westphalia Dora Mary Pung, age 99, of Westphalia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1918, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Klein) Fedewa. Dora enjoyed spending her time playing cards, baking, embroidering, and taking car rides with her family. Dora loved watching television, including episodes of the Lawrence Welk Show, Wheel of Fortune, the Price is Right, and Jeopardy. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's Society. Dora is survived by her dear children, Joanie (Bill) Mattila, Ann Marie (Philip) Schafer, Vernon (Stella) Pung, Donna (Ken) Weber, nd Paul (Cheryl) Pung; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren, with two on the way. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Joseph C. Pung and daughter, Theresa Engardia-Wedly. The Mass of christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the St. Mary' Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The family would like to extend a special "thank You" to dora's caregivers, Judy Waterman, Judy Smith, Jo Phelps, Bernita Schafer, Diane George, Tonya Thelen, Andrea Thelen, Sabrina Bierstetel, Portland Assisted Living and Memory center, and Great Lakes Hospice. In lieu of thank- you notes, memorial contributions will be donated to St. Mary's School and Great Lakes Hospice. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Home.
