Mr. Purdun was well known in that part of the village and also in the business section. OBITUARY Leon D. Purdun was born February 13, 1868, in Woodland township. He was married to Orsie Haskins November 25th,, 1896. To them were born three children all of whom are living in Lake Odessa, one daughter Keatha Oneta Christopherson and two sons, Seron W. and Kenneth C.at home. He passed away at his home on Sunday, Aug.6,1933, at the age of 65 years, five months and 24 days. He leaves to mourn their lose his wife and three children, a sister Mrs.Myra Peets of Lansing, and a brother, Elra Purdun of Wisconsin. He was a good neighbor, a faithful husband and father. He will be missed by all. Come, let us anew our journey pursue. Roll around with the years and never stand still. Till theMaster appear. O, that each, from his Lord, may receive the glad word. "Well and faithfully done; Enter into my joy and set down on my throne." The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. R.L. Boadway gave the sermon and burial was at Lakeside Cemetery.
