The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 1, 1910

Orin Purdy, former prominent farmer at Orleans centre, but for three years a 
resident of Belding, died at 6 o’clock on Thursday morning.  He suffered a 
stroke of paralysis some ten weeks ago, and failed steadily thereafter.  He 
leaves a wife and three children: George Purdy of Greenville, Mrs. Lottie York 
of Orleans, and Wilson Purdy, at home.  Funeral at Belding at 2 o’clock on 
Sunday afternoon.
