Carol Jean Puroll 68, of Ionia, passed away on Nov. 14, 2007. 

She was born the daughter of Russell and Eva (Ashbrenner) Luttman on Nov. 20, 
1938, in Livonia, Mich. Carol worked at Consumers Power Company in Ionia for 
many years. She married Joseph Puroll on Aug. 10, 1957; and he preceded her in 
death on Nov. 28, 2006.

Carol is also preceded in death by eight siblings.

Surviving are her son, Edward (Amy) Puroll of Ionia; daughter, Jean (Stephen) 
Griep of Oakwood, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at 
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 611 W. North Street, Gaylord, MI 49735, 
with Rev. Richard Hannon presiding. Rite of Committal will take place in St. 
Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 
p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center Ave., 
Gaylord, MI., with a rosary to be prayed at 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to 
Catholic Social Services. Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman 
Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
