She attended a girls school in Marian, Ind., and then worked as a governess in Chicago for two years. She returned to Ionia in 1905 where she married Claude Putnam. They moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later returned to Ionia to build a home in Ionia township on M-66. Claude Putnam died in 1935. Mrs. Putnam was a member of the First Christian church. She leaves a brother, Deo W. Hall, of Ionia township and niece, Mildred Hall, also of Ionia township. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. The Rev. Roger Stressman will conduct the service. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
