The deceased was a pioneer of this county, and with her husband came here from Massachusetts in an early day. She was an excellent woman and did much by her work ad advice to lighten the burdens and cares of early pioneer life. She and Mr. Putney were charter members of the Washington Club, organized nearly forty years ago at the home of John Ashley and at her request bearers will be selected from that organization. The funeral will take place at the late residence, Friday at ten o’clock a.m. and her remains will be brought to the Otisco cemetery for interment, by the side of a child that died in infancy. Besides a devoted husband, with whom she has traveled life’s journey for sixty years she leaves one daughter who is living on the farm.
