The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, March 27, 1916

Norman Putney died yesterday at Traverse City, the body to be brought to 
Belding for burial.  Deceased was over 90 days of age, and was for many years 
janitor at the central school here.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nellie 
Harrington, of this city.
