The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 24, 1896

Colonel Quackenbush, who was a resident here for several years, and run a 
portable saw mill in this vicinity, died at Edmore on Monday, and his funeral 
took place Tuesday.  His age was 81 and he leaves two children, residents of 
Edmore.
