Portland Observer, 18 Sep 1895

Jacob Quant, an old resident of Campbell township, was found dead upon the grave 
of his first wife in the Clarksville cemetery one day last week.  The body when 
found was badly decomposed, showing that it had lain there some days.  Financial 
trouble and poor health are alleged as the causes which led to the suicide, which 
it plainly was.
