Quick Mary Ann (Dillon) Quick, age 50, of Lake Odessa, passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, following a battle with cancer. She was born on January 15, 1971, in Hastings, daughter of Glen E. and Helen M. (Wilson) Dillon, Sr., both of whom survive. She graduated from Lakewood Schools with the Class of 1989. She had shared 17 wonderful years of her life with Burl E.Quick, with whom she exchanged vows on November 10, 2012, in Lake Odessa. Mary always kept busy working even holding two jobs simultaneously for a time, one of which was a Monday through Friday position and the other was week-ends only. Most recently, she was a n executive housekeeper for Drury Inns and Suites, helping to open and run their new location in Grand Rapids. Mary loved to be on the go, traveling somewhere, near or far, and enjoying as many outdoor activities as possible such as fishing, kayaking, camping, and even trips to the zoo. When a long-distance sojourn was what she needed, she loved to visit the Gulf Coasts of Alabama and Louisiana. Mary was a force to be reckoned with, full of energy and an indomitable spirit, who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Glen and Helen and her husband, Burl, all of Lake Odessa, she will be dearly missed by her beloved children, David (Lindsay) Schreiner of Freeport, Kara (Megan) Willey of Belleville, Dustin (Jesse) Burleson of Lake Odessa and Forest (Anne) Quick of Charlotte; grandchildren, Briyana, Carson, Paisley and Monroe; siblings Glen (Jane) Dillon of Alto, Rob (Cory) Dillon, Michael (Kecia) Dillon and Dana (John) Whitecotton, all of Lake Odessa; her mother-in-law, Shirley Quick of Lake Odessa; a dear, lifelong friend, Sally (Steve Rider) Shortz of Lake Odessa; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Leslie E.Quick, and several other family member. Visitation took place Tuesday evening at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding and the funeral took place at the funeral home on Wednesday with Pastor Mark Lipscomb officiating. Interment took place at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.
