The Ionia Standard, Friday, July 18, 1913

Chas. Quigley, one of Michigan’s veterans, died Sunday morning at the 
Soldiers’ Home in Grand Rapids.  He has been an inmate of the home 
intermittently for about fifteen years.  He leaves a widow and six children: 
Elmo, Russell, Robert, Mrs. Elsie Servoss of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Henry Graham 
of Kent City, Michigan, and Mrs. Walter Davenport of Ionia township.  He would 
have been 78 years old next month.  He belonged to the 10th Michigan infantry, 
and served for about fourteen months, being kept from active service much of 
the time by illness.
