Quillan, 79, Belding, passed away Saturday, July 26, 1997, at Laurels of Kent Rehabilitation Center, Lowell. She was born Oct 1, 1917, in Belding to Nicholas and Bertha Martin Geisen. She was employed at the former Jolly Kids in Belding for 18 years as a shipping clerk. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1935. She was married on Dec. 24, 1938, in Belding, to Frank Quillan. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1993. She is survived by her children, Connie and Rod Steiner of Ionia, Linda and Wayne Whipkey of Greenville, Margo Quillan of Belding; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, Leona Teneyck of Grand Rapids, Helen Robinson of Des Moines, Iowa, Florence Badger, Pauline Stout, both of Belding; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Marie Geisen of Indiana, John and Carmon Geisen of Belding. She was preceded in death by one son, Joe, on June 22, 1984; and one brother, Harold Geisen of Belding. Funeral mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, with the Deacon Howard Scheid officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church.
