The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, May 31, 1962

Mrs. Laura Spalding Raab, 76, of East Lansing, formerly of Lyons, died Monday 
at a Lansing hospital after a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late E.S. Spaling and Mrs. Frances Spalding, 
former Lyons residents.  She was married in Lyons about 1910 to Arthur E. 
Raab, who passed away a few years ago.  They lived in Flint and she had lived 
in East Lansing about 15 years.  Mr. Raab was a member of Kappa Psi Sorority 
and the Sparrow hospital auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Pinkerton of Detroit, 
three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lansing.  Burial was at 
Graceland cemetery at Flint.
