JACOB G. RAAB
ORLEANS Mr. Jacob G. Raab, 74, of Long Lake Road, Orleans died suddenly Thursday 
morning at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Raab was born in Illinois March 6, 1905, the son of Jacob and Annie Garrett
Raab. He married Odelia Brower in 1926 in Racine, Wisc. and they moved to the Ionia area in
1927.

Mr. Raab worked for the Ionia Manufacturing Co. and A. O Smith for 26 years before
retiring in 1967.

His wife preceded him in death in 1957. For the past several years, Mr. Raab has
made his home with his son on Long Lake.

Survivors include his son LaVern and two grand daughters, Sharon Cook and Gailene 
Kamradt both of Ionia area.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Leddick Funeral Home with the
Rev. Dr. Roy Pitts of the First Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends
and relatives tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.

Burial will be in the Tuttle cemetery.
