The son of Charles John and Geraldine Davies Radecki, he was born on Aug. 30, 1947, in Grand Rapids. On Nov. 22, 1982, in Grand Rapids, he married the former Judith A. Painter. Bob earned his engineering degree from Michigan Tech and had been a civil engineer until poor health prevented him from continuing his career. While he enjoyed music, singing, and reading the Bible, he found his greatest joy in his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Radecki Sr. He is survived by his wife, Judy Radecki of Belding; his mother, Geraldine Radecki of Jackson; his children, Shelly and Ronald Boardway of Farmington Hills, Sheila and Jamie Wenzlick of Chesaning, Robert Jr. and Lizabeth Quinones Radecki of St. Louis; two sisters and brothers-in-law and one brother and sister-in-law, Marilyn and David Haywood of Northville, Janet and Robert Read of Grand Rapids, Charles and Theresa Radecki of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Dennis and Patricia Painter of Lakeview; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Natalie, Evan and Noah; special friends, Sue and Joe Muns of Sidney; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service is today with the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of First Congregational Church, Greenville, officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider the needs of the family. The Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, was entrusted with the arrangements and is serving the family.
