Rademacher, 87, of Westphalia, passed away August 13, 2005. He was born on September 3, 1917 in Westphalia Township, the son of Frank and Caroline (Fandel) Rademacher. On May 26, 1943, he married Verena C. Smith at St. Mary's in Westphalia. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westphalia, the St. Joseph's Society, and a Charter and Legion of Honor Member of the Catholic Order of Forresters. Mr. Rademacher was a farmer all of his life and was the recipient of the Clinton County Conservation Farmer of the Year Award in 1973. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Holland; brothers, Slyvester, Wilfred, and Leander Rademacher; sisters, Lillian Smith and Edwina Randall; great granddaughter, Kaitlin Paul. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Verena; children, Joseph (Laura) Rademacher, Gary (Mary) Rademacher, John Rademacher, Thomas (Ann) Rademacher, Roy (Laure) Rademacher; daughter, Mary T. (Jim) Morgan; son-in-law, Jim Holland; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella Spitzley. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Cecilio Reyna Aug. 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or the Father Al Miller Trust Fund.
