Nov. 2, 2016 MAX D. RAGLIN 1924-2016 Mas D. Raglin, 92, of Belding, passed away Sunday morning Oct. 30, 2016 in Jenison. Max was born on Oct. 21, 1924 in Lakeview, the son of Eno and Lena (Sole) Raglin. He graduated from Ionia High School with the class of 1943. Following high school Max proudly joined the United states Army. He served with the 101st Air Borne Division and saw fierce fighting in Europe and fought bravely during Battle of the Bulge. After the war Max and his family lived in Belding where in earlier years he had worked at the Kroger Store and later when it become the A&P Food Store til its closing in 1967. He later worked at Brecheisen Pharmacy. Max had a lifelong love of tennis, enjoyed bow hunting and to shoot target practice. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Frances, his brother Floyd and sister Doris. Max is loved and survived by his sons, Mark (Suzanne) Raglin of Jenison, Scott Raglin of South Bend Indiana; two grandsons, Brett (Holly) Raglin, and Lee Raglin; a great grandson, Nolan Raglin; and his sister, Barbara Ann Raglin of Ionia. Funeral services will be 2 p.. Thursday Nov. 3, 2016 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Private interment will be in RiverRidge cemetery, Belding. Full Military honors will be given by the joint honor guard of the Belding American legion & VFW. Instead of flowers please consider memorials to the Veteran Support Center, a non-profit, tax-exempt group that had helped Max and helps area Veterans with assistance.
