May 30, 1994 Lora M. Railer, 67, of Portland died May 23, 1994, in Lansing. Mrs. Railer was born in Mingo County in West Virginia April 25, 1927, the daughter of James and Mary Hatfield. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #116 and worked for the Volunteers of America for many years. She is survived by her husband, Perry; one daughter, Sheila (Harold) McCurdy of Eaton Rapids; four sons, James (Brenda) Hale of Lansing, Harvey (Debra) Hoskins of Portland, Raymond (Barbara) Hoskins of Portland, and Allen Hoskins of Portland; two stepsons, Robert Hoskins of New Jersey and David (Edna) Hoskins of Clyde, Ohio, 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Farmer. Memorial services were held by the Women of the Moose Lansing Chapter #116 on May 25. Funeral services were held May 26 at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel, with Rev. Elaine Buker of the Portland United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in Portland Cemetery.
