Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. March 15, 1977


SARANAC – L.D. Raison, 57, of 8697 MacArthur road, died Monday evening at 
Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was born in Grand Rapids November 9, 1919, the son of Charles and Mary 
Plotts Raison. 

Mr. Raison was a member of Galilee Baptist Church and the Saranac American 
Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, whom he married November 22, 1941.

Also surviving are his mother, Mary Shugh; seven sons Dennis of Ionia, William 
of Portland, Richard of North Carolina, Benjamin of Florida, Charles and 
Timothy of Saranac and Larry of California; one daughter, Judy Raison of Ionia 
and nine grandchildren.

Services are Thursday at 1:30 pm in Galilee Baptist church with Rev. James 
Frank officiating.

Burial is in Saranac cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Roetman funeral home 
Tuesday 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A memorial fund is established for the Michigan Heart Fund.
