April 13, 1923 WELL-KNOWN CAMPBELL FARMER PASSED AWAY Frederick Raloff, whom every one knew, died at the home of his so, Will Raloff last Saturday after a lingering illness of several months. Everything was done for him that could be done by the best doctors, but to no avail. Mrs. Raloff was a genial hard working man and made for himself and family a comfortable home. He will be greatly missed by his children and grand-children. Obituary Frederick G. Raloff was born in Meckienburg, Germany, December 1846, and passed away at his home inCampbell township, April 7, 1923, at the age of 77 years, four months, and one day. His parents died when he was very small, and he was left to the care of his grand mother, who also departed when he was but 12 years old, at which time he was left to make his own way in the world. At the age of 25 years M. Raloff was united in marriage to Sophia Roso, who preceded him 12 years ago to the great beyond. To this union were born eight children, six boys and two girls, two of whom are still living. Mrs Wm. Raloff and Mrs Edith White, both living near the old home. After coming to America he lived seven years near Kitchner, Ont., Canada, and moved to Michigan in the year 1879, where he spent the remaining days of his life. About eight weeks ago he accepted the Christian faith, and since that time spent much time in prayer and Cristian conversation. He leaves to mourn their loss, one son, one daughter 12 grandchildren and a large circle of friends. Funeral services were held at the Liberal United Brethren church. Rev. V.H. Beardsley officiating, assisted by Rev. I.H. Mourer. Burial in LakeSide Cemetery.
