Esther Arlene Ralph, 89, of Ionia, passed away Aug. 10, 2011 in Ionia. She was 
born July 12, 1922 in Ionia the daughter of John and Hazel (Pierce) Wieczorek.

She graduated from SS Peter & Paul Catholic School. Esther married Howard Ralph 
in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a past member of First 
Presbyterian Church of Ionia. She worked for the Ypsilanti Reed Company in 
Ionia for many years. 

She enjoyed being around people, especially her family.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Sondra (Phil) Jeffrey of Ionia; sister, 
Joyce Loughlin of Lansing; grandchildren, Christopher Jeffrey and Catrina of 
Kalamazoo and Tricia Jeffrey of Grand Rapids; and two great grandchildren, 
Cayleigh Marie and Cayden. Nieces, Nephews and several friends at Heartlands 
also survive.

She was preceded in death by  her parents; husband, Howard; daughter, Sharon in 
2007; brothers, Harold Wieczorek, John Wieczorek and Russell Wieczorek; and 
sisters, Jean Wieczorek and Marian Voelker.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia with Pastors John Shifton and Robert Nixon officiating. Interment Balcom 
Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
