The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, June 12, 1970
Dorothy Violet Ralston, 54, of 48 Greenfield drive, died on Thursday at her 
residence.

She was born April 3, 1916 in Ionia the daughter of Earl J. and Edith Martin.  
She was married in Ionia in 1946 to Arnold A. Ralston and was a member of 
First Christian church, graduate of Ionia high school and had been employed at 
Peoples Bargain store.  She was primary teacher at the church several years.

Surviving are her husband, Arnold A.; sister, Mrs. Lilliam Hyland of Ionia; 
two brothers, Raymond of Ionia and Larr of Benton Harbor; three step sisters, 
Mrs. Joey Jackson of Clarksville, Mrs. Alice Brown of Saginaw and Mrs. Mary 
Brawley of Saginaw, stepmother, Mrs. Ketherine Martin of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 pm at First Christian church.  Rev. 
Theodore Forbes will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens.  Mrs. Ralston will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until 11 am 
Monday.
