  Mary Ramirez

Mary E.Ramirez, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025 with her family at 
her bedside. Mary, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, was known for her 
sweet and playful personality.She was a bit mischievous in a fun way and always 
up for a good adventure! Ramon Ramirez was the love of her life; they were 
married for almost 70 years and raised 5 children.They enjoyed square dancing, 
traveling, and spending time with friends and family! 

Mary loved animals and had many pets over the years, including dogs she took in 
as strays and several adorable Yorkies. She was a creative, entrepreneurial 
woman. She owned a square dance shop where she personally sewed the dance 
garments, as well as custom orders! Mary and Ramon traveled to northern Mexico 
too many times to count. They also enjoyed traveling around the U.S. in their 
motor home and flying to Hawaii and Spain. Mary's family is thankful for the joy 
she brought to their lives.  

She is survived by Rose Ramirez-VanSchagen(John), Ramon Ramirez Jr.(Betsy), 
Betty Lou Cottle (John), Roger Ramirez(Judy), and the late Ricardo Ramirez: 17 
grand-children and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family  will receive friends and family for a visitation on Thursday,January 
30, 2025 from 6pm to 8 p.m at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home at 203 
S.Pleasant Street in Belding, Michigan.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 am 
on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the same location.

A special thanks to West Michigan Hospice for their wonderful care and  support.
