Mrs. Ramsey was one of Portland’s best known and well loved women and will be greatly missed by a large number of residents of this vicinity who were her most intimate friends. Her maiden name was Sadie Franks and she was born in Orange township, 45 years ago, all her lifetime having been spent in Portland and vicinity. On October 10, 1899 she was united in marriage to Mr. Ramsey and since that time had lived in this village. Besides the husband she is survived by one son, Harold, and one brother, Fred Franks, of Mulliken, and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Hough, of Muir, and one sister in Cleveland, Ohio. The remains arrived in Portland Wednesday evening and were taken to the Ramsey home, where funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, in charge of Rev. J. H. Bancroft. Burial will be made in the Portland cemetery.
